Ben is really curious about darius's hair and always him different questions about how he takes care of it ,styles and washes it because he wants to do one date where he surprises him by doing his hair for him instead of Darius going to someone or doing his own hair

Ben can cook better than Darius

Darius bakes lots of stuff in his free time. Ben absolutely loves his baking

Darius wakes up in the middle of night because of nightmares and Ben will just be there for him hugging him the whole time. They'll go down stairs and watch movies till Darius sleepy. Once he is Ben carries him princesses style back to bed.

Ben would probably be the one to put Darius to sleep. Because of how stubborn Darius is and if he say he's not tired he will not go to bed but Ben will physically drag him into bed hug him and just hum songs until he falls asleep

Ben actually likes mint chocolate chip ice cream and Darius tried it once and he decided that he will never go near that flavor ever again

And Ben's contact number and darius's phone is rebel as an angel's brother because their personalities are so much because rebel was just very chaotic and energetic and so was Ben on the island and Darius is a sort of wanted to match too

When Ben got a new van he styled it the same way he did his old van but not as the exact same but there were similar qualities and there was stuff again in there like food in a boot and his pee bowl of licorice so Darius decided to put on gloves, a mask and get so much cleaning supplies that he cleaned out Ben's van throwed out anything disgusting and decided to give him silverware and dishes and tupperware for his van.( The van is dark blue btw)

Ben had a shark phase and would Yap about sharks like how Darius did dinosaurs and it made Darius fall in love with him even more.

can i just say. and this is probably a niche hill to die on. that i am so gobsmacked every time someone vaguely hints at the idea that jotaro doesn't care meaningfully for the other crusaders, usually particularly kakyoin and joseph, when those two actually tend to be the ones he reacts to being hurt the hardest

like he cares for his loved ones!!!! that literally plays into his character motives in every single part he shows up in!!! stop lying to me!!!!!!!

Pope is literally his soulmate. His everything. And we barely got any JJPOPE in pt2. We've never gotten them back since s2. I said it to my friend when s3 dropped, that that was the death of JJPOPE. Not even as a ship, but as BEST FRIENDS!

S1 it was John B and Kie who were close, and JJ and Pope who were close. They were all friends, but they'd pair off into duos. They were the yin to each other's yang. The sunshine to the moon. I'm so upset that s4 became the JJ show (as much as I love him) because literally every other character just stood around waiting to step in to save JJ.

Sarah is fcking PREGNANT!!!! And barely gets any screen time or time to process. John B, THE MAIN CHARACTER BTW is sidelined and literally just stands there or yells at JJ when he does something stupid. Same with Kiara. She has almost nothing to do with the plot. She even gets the cliche of being knocked out/incapacitated.

Then Cleo is still barely known at all. Great she got the last family member she had. He was ripped violently away from her and almost lost her life. Then it's never addressed again until Pope takes the k!ller's life for her.

Now onto Pope. My biggest disappointment in terms of character development. He was going to college and he was this snarky nerd who knows better than everyone. Who is logical but is still very much ruled by his emotions when confronted with big conflicts. Then he pairs off with Cleo and nothing for him. His dreams are completely gone in place for searching for treasure the rest of his life.

I'd maybe be more accepting of this season if literally any of them had a purpose besides reacting to JJ, but that's not the case now, is it?

This show falls directly into the Netflix pattern.

BEAUTIFUL, COMPELLING, ONE OF A KIND FIRST SEASON.

Then BOOM the show explodes.

Then s2 comes and we're like "ok not as good as one but its still good."

S3 comes and it's like "oh yikes... big problems with this one. But not unbearable. Has its high points."

Then s4. Nail in the coffin in terms of its CHARACTERS.

The whole reason people watch OBX is for the found family. Knowing that no matter what the pogues will find a way out and support each other.

Where was that? Where was that at all this season?

They think they can just shoehorn some bonding montages into part 1 and that'll fulfill that same need.

No. It needs to be woven throughout.

It just becomes the JJ show and I'll give props where it's due. The plot of this season is pretty strong.

As long as you don't think too much about character development, relationships or just how many shooting/chase scenes there are.

Or how the characters don't even seem to care about each other outside of their romantic relationships.

How long have you been a Tamlin fan?

I started reading acotar in 2019 and tamlin immediately had my heart, I joined the fandom in November Last year.

What drew you to Tamlin?

His big green puppy eyes and bunny like demeanor drew me to him. He was very human in a way yk ? He messed up and he wasn't perfect but he was always so loving inspite of being so afraid of it. I think the main thing that made me love him was how he was the only hl to accept refugees and gave them ( including Lucien ) a home. That made me realise how much of great person he was and I fell in love with him. ( also the "Thorns and all" quote is just so beautiful)

Do you have a favourite headcanon for our Spring Lord?

I think tamlin loves music so much so that when he starts to feel empty he takes out his fiddle and starts playing hozier-esque songs in the woods and all the creatures of spring pause their activities and gather around to listen to him and it's basically a concert, plus it gives tamlin a way to connect with his court and it's people, amd makes him realise he's loved 💕

Who’s your favourite pairing (platonic or romantic) with Tamlin?

I'm a multipshipper so I'm on board with lots of pairings but my otp has and will always be Tamcien. They're just so perfect for each other, their dynamic and the adoration they posses for the other. ( Tamcien are the reason I joined the fandom btw )

Platonic Pairings - Tam and Cressida, Tam and Thesan, Tam and Kallias and sm more but I can't remember them rn.

Have you named Tamlin’s family? What are their names? (Give us your headcanons too!

Tamlin's Father - Evander Irving - Hawthorne : He was born an only child and grew up ostracized by his parents, hence his inability to have a healthy relationship with his own. He hated hunting animals and was considered weak because of it and it's one of the few traits tamlin inherits from him.

Tamlin's Mother - Vidalia Majorie : She was from a noble family, wild in the way weeds are, she loved to sing and could light up a ballroom with her voice, its also how she found her mate, who was drawn to her instantly. Even after she died tamlin swears the trees in Spring still sing of her, mourining for the pearl of life.

Tamlin's Eldest Brother - Haru Irving : He was actually very similar to Eris in terms of intelligence and scheming, he was kind only to an extent and cared very little for the people he was destined to rule. It is the greatest tragedy that he was robbed of the title he spent all his life scheming for.

Tamlin's Middle Brother - Ahren Sylvan : Out of all of his family, Ahren was the only one who was kind to tamlin, and cared for his people and the suffering of lesser fae and humans. He raised Tam while his mother battled depressive episodes and his father too occupied to care for a child who wouldn't be heir. He loved the forests of spring and could communicate with them, its why his warband named him Sylvan - " of the forest".

If you were transported into the Spring Court right now, what would be your role? (Sentry, Gardener, etc.)

I'd love to be either some sort of chemist / witch that uses herbs to create potions ( poisons, etc ) or just lay around as Tamlin's sugar baby and frolick in the fields of flowers.

HAHAHAHA NOW YOU ARE SENTENCED TO LISRENING TO ME INFODUMP ABOUT MY OC!!!! >:))))

okay so ivy is one of the characters in my podcast. August, the main character who's perspective the story is told, is actually kind of insane. She was gaslit and manipulated her entire childhood after witnessing the brutal death of her father (not like the internet version of gaslighting, like ACTUAL gaslighting. She thought she was experiencing psychosis her entire life after the incident because everyone called her crazy and didn't believe her). She's rude, she's aggressive, she's impulsive, she is kind of selfish, she likes causing problems on purpose, and generally isn't liked.

Ivy, on the other hand, on the surface, seems "normal". Her mom died when she was 11, her dad was an alcoholic who was kind of negligent after her mom's death, so she was stuck raising her 4 brothers. She is a really good photographer and artist and after junior college got accepted into UCLA on a full ride scholarship (something that is unheard of) but her brothers all moved out across the country and her dad got sick, so she had to postpone UCLA to stay in her small town and care for him as his condition progresses.

She, in my opinion, is the only emotionally intelligent character in this podcast, because she's been to therapy and refuses to become like her dad, and has a healthy understanding of interpersonal relationships and what behavior to tolerate.

Since she grew up raising 4 boys and dealing with her dad who can be kind of mean, she doesn't take any shit at all. August will try to engage in an argument (because that's what she does when she feels insecure because it's all she knows) but Ivy won't even look up from her book and will be like "babe, you're being kind of mean. Go take a walk and calm down, and then we can talk" and she does and they have a productive conversation after.

I've always hated the trope of character A having trauma and character B either "fixing" them in a therapist role or tolerating being mistreated and justifying it because "they're struggling". That's not their dynamic at all. Ivy will love her unconditionally, however if August is being unfair or rude or a conversation is unproductive, she'll disengage until August is ready to have a normal conversation. She won't let herself be manipulated or forced into anything, so she makes August take responsibility. She's really kind and gentle, but she's absolutely not a pushover or a people pleaser.

So the way she's insane, in a different way than August, is that she is incredibly determined and can fixate on certain things and not let them go, sometimes to her own disadvantage. She is canonically disabled and a full time cane/crutches user, and she frequently pushes herself past her limits physically in order to achieve things. Like she'll wake up in pain, but insist on walking all around town to complete her freelance photography goals, and then not really rest afterwards when she's exhausted and in pain.

She also just. Doesn't let things go. Like I said, she doesn't become codependent with August or fall into a therapist role, but she sees August for the first time at the airport screaming at her brother on the phone and throwing her keys against the wall really hard, and she's like "wow she's so pathetic. I want her so bad." And she follows her around and insists on helping her every step of the way until she actually shows some vulnerability and allows her to. (Not in a way that harms Ivy, but like she sees August melting down in an airport cafe because she forgot her computer charger, and when August walks away from her stuff, Ivy leaves her own laptop charger on the table with a sweet note)

She is the type of person to work on projects for DAYS, without eating or sleeping, and when the podcast picks up and she's a part of it, there are several moments when she's about to collapse in exhaustion because she just. Can't let things go long enough to sleep or eat a meal. (This causes some really delicious internal conflict with August because she's built her entire personality over being independent and keeping everyone far far away from her heart and pretending not to care about anyone but herself, but then she sees this really annoying girl who keeps following her around being kind and understanding struggling to stand because she's so tired, and she doesn't know if she should pretend not to care or follow her instincts that feel foreign and unnatural to her and give her a comfortable place to sleep and make her a nice meal)

While I consider her the most emotionally intelligent character, she also has some trauma responses. She is usually able to deal with conflict, but if someone is accusing her of doing something she didn't do, it will trigger her responses from her upbringing with her father and being responsible for her brothers, so she'll get passive aggressive and passively angry towards whoever is triggering it. So if someone is yelling at her or trying to manipulate her, she'll stand her ground, but if someone even suggests she did something she didn't or misunderstands her intentions, it will start an argument and she won't be able to communicate as effectively.

Finally, if she is triggered, she doesn't get outwardly angry, rather, she retreats into herself. She becomes avoidant and detached, and kind of stews in her anger. She doesn't want to talk about it, and she'll keep going about like everything is normal, but something is noticably off and she is very cold and distant. Her responses will be very short and neutral and she'll be kind of passive aggressive.

In conclusion, her type of insane balances out August's perfectly. August is very outwardly angry and problematic and avoidant, but in a way where she runs from her responsibilities (when the plot picks up, she left home at 15 and hadn't talked to her family in 10 years). August is irresponsible and tends to be selfish and self destructive. Ivy has better interpersonal skills, but tends to work herself to death and burn herself out, and gets cold and passive aggressive when triggered. But it balances out because she's learning how to accept help and not be "on" and perfect and responsible all the time, and August is learning how to care for/about others, communicate directly, and be more responsible.

I've been trying to figure out a dynamic between neve and rye that I find more compelling, because right now there's not much of anything there for me to sink my little teeth into. but I think I've landed on something delicious with the idea that especially after minrathous gets fucked, rye looks at neve and sees myrna -- someone he feels he keeps letting down horribly no matter how hard he tries not to and can't quite achieve the approval of/connection with that he wishes so it's better to just pull away completely and disengage rather than stay in that unshifting shame. neve is (very understandably) measured and distant with him after what happened, and he's flashing back to his student days of myrna gazing at the perpetually hungover heartbroken heap of a person of him on the other side of her desk every time he missed the deadline of a paper or project like '...can we at least both agree that this is. a bit disappointing. especially considering your potential.' (and him all smudged black eyeshadow and numb ruefulness being like 'sure that's a very kind way to put it myrna thank you'.)

aside from the 'if I let him get too deeply into this he'll go the way of brom and it'll be all my fault (again)' element, neve thinks rye is dismissing her and her city/being a bit callous in the same way he was after varric's death (listen. how fucking wild must rook's reaction to losing a beloved mentor seem to the rest of the crew who aren't seeing the blood magic paper doll ghost varric the whole time, especially those who got to see them interact. you WOULD think 'there's something wrong with this guy. putting the job first is one thing just not seeming to react at all is another this is fucking freaky', wouldn't you, especially after seeing the warmth in that dynamic in action beforehand.) perfect storm of two people who grit their teeth and turn inwards in pain deciding that not talking about it is their best bet (NEWSFLASH: IT ISN'T) lmao

(rye spent his last year of watcher training on a mostly joyless bender and then got it together enough to finish the eternal orb project last moment in a fevered near-sleepless week instead of the half a year that was intended. emmrich is both astounded and distressed to hear this. "a week? but -- but that is an astounding accomplishment rook!! and also why in the maker's good light would you ever do that to yourself?" ("well you see there was no one to stop me from doing it like that but me. and under those conditions these things tend to happen".) rye was working through/looking up stuff around transitioning and doing every kind of OTHER high level watcher research through that whole time, but ultimately he's an excellent watcher and a terrible student, at least under traditional methods. adhd from here to the fucking moon. touched by something akin to divine inspiration in moments of high tension that pulls all the threads into one coherent unbreakable cord, a bit of a frayed mess in most other settings. in our world he'd be dropping out of a masters program at the very last hurdle in this moment maker bless and protect him)
